Christopher Saunders
Chris is a photographer, visual anthropologist, and archaeologist based in Columbia, South Carolina. He earned his BA and MA in Anthropology from the University of Georgia.
His research focuses on Queer and Indigenous representation through photographic media. He uses his art to explore the empty and surreal, with influence from archaeology, mythology, and queer photographers like Herbert List and James Bidgood. Chris currently works at the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology.
